T3BOARD17: Featured Skiresorts

The skiresort 'Pitztaler Gletscher & Rifflsee' consists of two skiregions, both connceted with skiroutes and slopes.

Both skiingregions are included in our skipass. The lowermost point is the valley-station of Rifflsee at about 1600m above sea, therefore the skiregions are pretty much snow-safe.

The glacier-skiregion 'Pitztaler Gletscher' is Tyrols highst glacier-skiresort with a nice panorama-restaurant at the top of the skiregion, which is the mountain-station of Wildspitzbahn at an altitude of 3440 meters above sealevel! Assuming good weather-conditions you could enjoy a view to more than 50 peaks, with an altitude of 3000m or more, a breathtaking view! You will also see the highest peak of Northern-Tyrol, the Wildspitze with an altitude of 3774 meters above sea! The Wildspitze is also Austrias 2^nd highest mountain right after Grossglockner, and a popular destination for skitours (only for advanced skiers!).

The Pitztaler Gletscher offers various specials like a large snowpark with halfpipe, a high-slope for cross-country skiers, mogul-slope, various variants for the advanced riders and much more!

The base-station of 'Pitztaler Gletscher' is a 7 minutes drive by skibus away from our hotel and the skibus is included in our rate!

The base-station of the family-skiregion 'Rifflsee' is only 3 minutes by skibus away from our hotel and starting at about 1600m above sea, we will most likely have great snow-conditions there too. The uppermost point of 'Rifflsee' is the peak 'Grubenkopf' with an altitude of 2800m, offering a great panoramic view too!

Also the skiregion of Rifflsee offers a high-slope for cross-country skiers!

Both skiregions provide a mentionable varity of gastronomic offers, most of them featureing free WiFi!

For those who are 'adventurous', our skipass offers a great possibility: you could go to the neighbour-valley Kaunertal and try the skiregions there, which are the skiregion 'Fendels' and the glacier-skiregion 'Kaunertaler Gletscher'. While this offer is limited to a maximum of 2 (two) days within our 6 days skipass, freely chooseable, it includes also the toll for going to Kaunertaler Gletscher.

The valley of Kaunertal is (reasonably) only reachable by car, the glacier is about 1:30 away, going via 'Kaunergrat' (Fendels will be a drive of about an hour). Your way will be filled with great views while going on nice mountain roads and you could just enjoy your drive to this two skiregions through Tyrols nice winterwonderland!
