There are different possibilities of approaching Val di Fassa from northern directions. I will tell you here the best (save and easy) way to go in winter, as we cannot know the exact road-conditions in January yet.
A couple of minutes after Bozen you should leave the highway at exit Auer/Ora. There go in direction 'Val di Fiemme - Val di Fassa'. Pay attention at the roundabout! Follow the street to Canazei in Val di Fassa. Signs are pretty good and selfexplaining up to Canazei. Expect signs in 2 or 3 languages (German, Italian, Ladin)!
Although the first part of the road after Auer is steep and winding, it is well developed and gets cleared fast in winter.
Different routes: There are really nice (panoramic) alternative routes, e.g. via Eggental and Karrerpass, or via Grödnertal and Sellajoch, but you need to know that you will have to pass winding high roads then, which could be difficult in winter, depending on the weather situation. All three routes will take you to our hotel in a comparable time, on days with good road conditions, despite the difference in distance.
There are scheduled flights to Innsbruck Airport from destinations all over Europe on a daily base. In winter there are numerous charter flights in addition.

If you need help on going there by plane, train or bus, please drop us a line (clemens). We may help you planning your journey, renting a car or maybe we can also organize a transfer to the hotel from e.g. Bozen if you arrive by train. @ riccabona.it
