All-Season Activities

For all those of you, who do not like snow maybe, or just if you want to have a break for half a day, there are lots of interesting things you could do beside winter-activities. We collected some of them for your convenience here.

Beerdrinkers will love it: Biermythos Starkenberg

For all those of you, interested in beer and how it is brewed, you have the opportunity to visit a small private brewery, just about 30 minutes away (by car) from our hotel.

The Tyrolean "Starkenberger Brauerei" (Starkenberger brewery) has been awarded lots of times for its excellent beer and exists now since 1810 AD!

The brewery is located in the valley of "Gurgltal" near Imst and is based in an ancient castle with a great hall as well as the worlds very first 'Bierschwimmbad', a swimmingpool with beer!
They also host a museum there in the old ballroom.

Recently they also started to experiment with whiskey-production, as they think the tyrolean climate is not that different from the scottish highlands.

Schloss Landeck: Museum & Art Gallery

Another ancient castle which is open to the public will be Schloss Landeck, about 30 minutes drive by car from our hotel.

Schloss Landeck is directly in the city of Landeck and hosts an art gallery as well as a museum.
Additionally they are part of the Interreg-IV-Project, and with prenotation you could get a special 'Schwabenkinder' guidance.

"Speckheimat" by Handl TYROL

In Pians near Landeck the famous Speck producer 'Handl TYROL' has its headquarter. There you could get an original 'Tiroler Marend', buy Speck directy from the manufacturer and you can get lots of information on all kinds of Tyrolean ham.
