How to get there

• Arriving from Switzerland: via Arlberg leaving the highway A12 "Inntalautobahn" at exit number 123 "Ötztal"
• Arriving from Southern Germany: via Fernpass and Nassereith/Gurgltal and "Imst". From Imst you could go via B171 "Tiroler Strasse" in direction Innsbruck, Ötztal, Haiming. In "Ötztal Bahnhof" follow B186 "Ötztaler Bundesstrasse" in direction Ötz, Sölden, Lägenfeld (toll-free routing). If you have a Vignette (toll of Austria), you could use the highway between Imst and Ötztal, see arriving from Switzerland.
• Arriving from Northern Germany: via Munich - Garmisch - Seefeld - Telfs and highway "Inntalautobahn" leaving at exit number 123 "Ötztal"
• Alternative route for arrival from Northern Germany or arriving from Eastern Austria: via Rosenheim - Kufstein - Innsbruck on highway "Inntalautobahn" leaving at exit "Ötztal".

Once you are in the valley of Ötztal, just follow in direction Obergurgl/Hochgurgl. If you see "Festkoglbahn" on the left side, you are nearly there! Directly after a small right-turn (followed by a small left turn) there is a small rather steep road, just go up, you won't miss Chalet Obergurgl!

There are scheduled flights to Innsbruck Airport from destinations all over Europe on a daily base. In winter there are numerous charter flights in addition.

If you are arriving by train, you need to go to station "Ötztal Bahnhof", where you have to switch to the bus, which needs about 1:30h from Ötztal Bahnhof to Obergurgl.
