FAQ - Frequently asked questions
I am not a snowboarder but a skier, I cannot attend.
That's just wrong. Back in 2001 when the very first T3BOARD was held, the goal for some was to learn snowboarding. But since then a lot changed, and in fact we have usually more skiers than snowboarders. Beyond that we also have participants who do neither skiing nor snowboarding!
So we could have changed the name to “T3SNOW” or “T3WINTER" or something like that, but T3BOARD is the longest running event of the TYPO3 community, well known and very traditional, and we just do not want to change that long lasting name.
I am neither snowboarder nor a skier, why should I attend?
T3BOARD is a very traditional name. But during the past more than 20 years of history of the T3BOARD it was always good tradition, that people attend which are no snow-sport enthusiasts. They just enjoy the sessions, the fellow members of the supportive and open minded TYPO3 community, and the spare time in the nice locations where T3BOARD usually happens.
